Paddy fields in Alummoodu are currently being used as an important source of green fodder for dairy farmers. Around 10 farmers reportedly visit the fields regularly to cut grass for their cattle. Good road access and relatively lower waterlogging have made these fields particularly useful for local dairy farmers.
